Lately, we was been trying some new animation techniques by ourselves but we don’t want just to make simple tests but to make good things while researching. Here, we have a flash loop that many of our deviant friends already know and we want to share it with all of you too: Últimamente, hemos estado probando nuevas técnicas de animación pero no queremos solamente hacer simples pruebas sino hacer cosas buenas mientras investigamos. Likewise, this is a short we started time ago and now is finished. While watching youtube, we realized that people like to see some animated scenes of “My Little Human” (Human versions of MLP).This is the scene when Twilight Sparkle and Spike meets Pinkie Pie, whit an swap from ponies to human versions. Doodling didn’t started as a webcomic properly. The original idea was publicizing it in Deviantart portal when posible. Then, the opportunity came to show it in its own site. That’s the reason, many of our friends who follow us are from there. Well, maybe they can remember that poll that one day I did:Garabateando, no comenzó como un webcomic propiamente. Does anyone remember those two? If you’re a Disney fan or at least a cartoon watcher in the 90’s era, of course you do. Peg, Pete’s wife and her daughter Pistol from Goof Troop. Also, if you’re a die-hard fan of rule 64 you may know very well Peg as a milf icon (You know what a milf is, don’t cha?).¿Alguien recuerda a estas dos? Si eres un fan de Disney o, al menos, veías cartoons en los 90’s, por supuesto que las recuerdas: Peg, la esposa de Pedro y su hija Pistol de La Tropa Goofy. Claro, también si eres un fan acérrimo de la regla 64 pues puedes conocer a Peg como un ícono milf (¿Sabes qué es milf, no?).
And with that said, that’s, in great part, the info we can find about at least Peg on the internet: Milf related stuff. Not the same with Pistol that is almost… nothing.Y, con esto dicho, esta es, en gran parte, la información que podemos encontrar en la internet acerca de Peg: Cosas con contenido de milf, no siendo lo mismo con Pistol, que es casi… nada
So, what’s the point of this post? Well, I remember have seen both Goof Troop movies that, as I see, take place in a time posterior to the series adventures and, as many of us can remember, there is no signal of Peg or Pistol in them, with no explanation at all. So, what happened with them? Not even in the “powerful” Wikipedia says anything.Se preguntarán, cuál es el propósito de este post. Bueno, recuerdo haber visto ambas películas de La Tropa Goofy, en las que, hasta donde se puede ver, toman lugar en un tiempo posterior a la serie de televisión y, hasta donde recuerdo, no hay señal de Peg o de Pistol en ellas, sin ningún tipo de explicación. Así que ¿qué les sucedió? Ni siqueira en la “poderosa” Wikipedia podemos encontrar algo.
Several people, asumes Peg divorced Pete for some reason and took Pistol with her. Ok, that can be, but two questions pop out of that conclusion: 1. Why it must be only a supposition? and 2. What’s the reason Disney crew vanished those two characters? There is a dark and obscure background for doing it?Varias personas, asumen que Peg se divorció de Pete por alguna razón y se llevó a Pistol con ella, pero dos preguntas surgen de esta afirmación: 1. ¿Por qué es sólo una suposición? y 2. ¿Cuál es la razón por la que Disney desapareció a estos personajes? ¿Existe acaso una obscura historia detrás de todo esto?
One of the conclusions we can make about it, is that Peg was sorta a ‘sexual’ character for the show (it will not be the first time I heard that). Not for nothing they turned her into that Milf she is today on internet. Also there is the point of people can associate her relationship with Goofy with cheating on her husband (bad example for the kids, blah, blah) or some stuff like that (In an episode she goes so far as kissing Goffy in the mouth. Yup I was surprised too) and then the censorship people made their move. But that leaves us with another thing in hands. What the heck happened with Pistol? They took her out cause she… was… what?Una de las conclusiones que podemos sacar de todo esto sería que Peg era algo “sexual” para el show (no sería la primera vez que escucho eso). No por nada la han convertido en ese ícono milf. También está la cosa de que se podría asociar su relación con Goofy con estar engañando a su esposo (mal ejemplo para los niños, bla, bla) o alguna cosa de esas (En un episodio, llega hasta el extremo de besar a Goofy en los labios. Sep, yo también me sorprendí) y entonces, la gente de la censura hizo su movida. Pero eso nos deja con algo entre manos: ¿Qué diablos pasó con Pistol? La sacaron porque ella… era… ¿qué?
Ok, with argument holes and questions without answers, all of that can be valid. Censorship can be very stupid in U.S. but, why vanishing them that way? They could ‘fix’ their behavior, maybe look or whatever stuff they wanted to. I really hate that “retroactive fixes” or retcon, as many of us know it. When a story erases a character with no explanation like Venus de Milo (the female turtle) in the Teenage Mutants Ninja Turtles comic continuity just because, that makes you think the autors don’t know what the hell are they doing and, for me, lows the quality of the series.Bien, con agujeros argumentales y preguntas sin resolver, todo eso puede ser válido. La censura puede ser muy estúpida en U.S.A. pero, ¿por qué desaparecerlas así sin explicación? Pudieron haberles “arreglado” el comportamiento, el look o cualquier cosa que ellos pensaran que estaba mal. Realmente odio esos “cambios retroactivos” o retcon como muchos de nosotros los conocemos. Cuando una historia borra a un personaje sin explicación como Venus de Milo (la tortuga mujer) en la continuidad de los comics de Las Tortugas Ninja, sólo porque sí, te hace pensar que los autores no tienen ni puta idea de lo que están haciendo y, para mí, baja la calidad de la serie.
